The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)’s latest report, LEED in Motion: Industrial Facilities, highlights the collaborative efforts across the manufacturing sector to design and implement LEED and prioritize environmental stewardship for industrial facilities. The report showcases the most impressive LEED certified industrial facilities in the world and includes a foreword from Pittsburgh’s own Mayor William Peduto.

He notes, “For years, green building development has served as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration between the private, public, non-profit and university sectors. … Working with our city’s Green Building Alliance, here in Pittsburgh we are proud to be leaders in advancing the sustainable design, construction and operations of iconic buildings across the city’s skyline and in our 90 neighborhoods. … Pittsburgh is taking strides to become a global leader in clean tech and sustainable manufacturing.”
