It Takes a Community: The Pittsburgh 2030 District

The Pittsburgh 2030 District is a community of high-performance buildings in downtown Pittsburgh, all working to dramatically reduce energy, transportation, and water use by the year 2030.  As of September 2013 (just one year after the initiative’s launch), nearly 55% of the downtown district has already committed to working towards these goals!  Our 2030 District is helping to push this region further as a national leader in both green buildings and economic development.

GBA’s Sean Luther, director of the Pittsburgh 2030 District, will help us keep this section of The Leaflet up-to-date with the latest 2030 news, including new partners, progress reports and benchmarking, and ways in which any building can work towards these major reduction goals.

Stay tuned!
