партнерство: this is the Russian word for “partnership.” It’s a good word for the relationship that’s been developing between Green Building Alliance (GBA) and the Russian Green Building Council (RuGBC) over the past two years, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll continue that partnership with our Moscow counterparts this fall. The journey started in the summer of 2013 when GBA’s CEO Mike Schiller traveled to […]
Goal: Gain 100 new Green Building Alliance members during the Fall Membership Drive. Status: Goal Achieved! From October through December 2014, 117 new members joined GBA, and 184 members renewed their memberships, for a total of 301 members. We could not be more delighted with the results of this member drive, especially because our members are truly […]
Green Building Alliance is heading to Washington, D.C. where we’ll meet up with a few thousand of our counterparts in healthy and high-performing buildings from around the world.
While at Greenbuild, GBA staff will attend meetings with USGBC staff members, catch up with colleagues from other parts of the country, attend educational sessions to learn what’s new in green buildings, peruse thee ever-innovative products expo, and host our very own special set on The Power of Storytelling!
If you’re headed to Greenbuild, be sure to register for our special set (it was sold out last year!) and come find us. Otherwise, we’ll post updates on Twitter, Facebook, and our blog (The Leaflet) along the way.
Once registered, sign up for GBA’s special set: “C03: The Power of Storytelling – ‘From Mini to Monumental,'” scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19.
See you in D.C.!
It’s hard to believe, but this most recent Greenbuild in Washington, D.C. was my 11th. Yes, you read that correctly, ELEVENTH. Pittsburgh’s Greenbuild in 2003 was my first; total, I’ve been to Greenbuild every year that it has existed except for two (Austin and Denver). This year helped confirm my favorite things about Greenbuild. Interaction […]
On what was the first full day of my thirteenth Greenbuild (out of 15 total), I was reminded how very unique everyone’s conference experiences are – and have been. Below are a few small highlights of my day, but I talked to others who sampled very different topics and conversations – everything from storytelling to […]
After a week of non-stop education, networking, and brains to the grindstone nerding out, GBA has returned from the world’s largest gathering of green building professionals, courtesy of the USGBC’s Greenbuild Conference. Along with 10,000 of our enthusiastic peers, we attended sessions on everything from green infrastructure to sustainable urban art to slow food for […]
