Interested in learning energy reduction 101?  What strategies can be used to optimize investments of time and money and achieve the greatest energy usage, CO2, and energy cost reductions?  Gain insight on the questions you should ask about operations and maintenance of your building’s equipment, including, in this general order:

1. Should the equipment/system be turned on or off?
2. Could operation be reduced through control strategy?
3. Can the operation be optimized?
4. Could efficiency be improved through simple retrofits/upgrades?
5. Is there heat/energy that can be recovered during operation?
6. Finally, does a retrofit make sense?

Our speaker, Matthew Tyson from Johnson Controls, will use the example of a chilled water system to apply this methodology, but the information you obtain from this session will be applicable to any targeted building, system, or process.

Bring your lunch and your questions!
