Melissa Coffin, Data Systems Project Leader, is responsible for leading the development of the Pharos Project’s Building Products Library, and ensuring data quality.  Prior to joining the Healthy Building Network, Melissa was a Research Associate at the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production and was the chief coordinator of the Green Chemistry and Commerce Council (GC3), a network of firms working to advance safer products in the marketplace.  Melissa is well versed in the assessment, comparison, and selection of alternative chemicals and materials.  She holds degrees in Ecology, Environmental Studies, and in the Economic and Social Development of Regions.
