GBA’s hallmark lecture series, the Inspire Speakers Series, is a sequence of lectures that offers national and local expert perspectives on various topics related to sustainability. The Series inspires new projects, partnerships, and ideas to make our region’s businesses, communities, government, schools, and places healthy and thriving.
The Inspire Speakers Series brings fresh, innovative thinking on topics of sustainability to Pittsburgh, with the goal of inspiring and motivating our citizens and leaders to think bigger and bolder about what is possible for our region. Planned in conjunction with the Green & Healthy Schools Academy (GHSA), our speakers present public lectures to a regional audience, lead private workshops for GHSA’s School Sustainability Culture Program, and spend time in the community during shoulder events.
The Series features nationally renowned thought-leaders from various sustainability fields, as well as local experts who can share their experiences of promoting environmental quality, social equity, and economic vitality in Western Pennsylvania.
All events are held at the Elsie H. Hillman Auditorium at the Kaufmann Center.
