GBA’s sizzling summer series on The Race to Zero Energy has something for everyone! Check it out and join us for just one event… or all four!
At Green Building Alliance, we strive to provide educational experiences that help encourage building owners and practitioners to learn from each other, discover new ways of accomplishing their goals, and work towards ever more efficient, healthy, and high-performing spaces. We also try to respond when we get requests for certain education topics. With those two goals in mind, we’re delighted to introduce our summer panel series: The Race to Zero Energy.
Property Partners in GBA’s Pittsburgh 2030 District have specifically requested education around commercial passive and net-zero strategies, and GBA’s programming surveys have revealed a desire for more energy-related programming. We also think this is a great time to shine a spotlight on passive and net-zero strategies for commercial buildings, and we’ll be placing a focus on this over the next year. Information covered in this series will be useful to many of GBA’s friends: building owners and operators, architects, engineers, academics, designers, consultants, and more! Here is some basic information about the series:
We’ll present four panel discussions in this series, covering the following topics:
- Passive Strategies: Reducing Your Building’s Footprint (May 12)
- Technologies and Products: Enabling Building Performance (June 23)
- Renewables: Solar, Wind, and Geothermal in Pittsburgh (July 21)
- Financing Strategies: Moving Key Projects Forward (August 25)
You can attend just one event, or sign up for all four and receive a discount!
Each event will be hosted in a different location, and will combine individual presentations with moderated panel discussion and a Q&A session. We’ll close each event with a networking reception where you can further engage with panelists and fellow attendees.
We’re really excited to present this series, and particularly delighted to have so many perspectives represented through our presenters. While we’re still building out some of the panels, we already have several local voices lined up who will offer tons of insight and expertise to our audience.
We hope you join us this summer for The Race to Zero Energy series! Don’t miss our first event in the series coming up on May 12 and take advantage of the series package deal if you want to attend all four events!
