We are thrilled to share that former GBA intern Angelica Ciranni was just named one of GreenBiz’s 30 Under 30, garnering national recognition for the amazing local, regional, and national work she’s been perpetuating in green buildings!
In 2008, Angelica was a civil engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and a Green Building Alliance intern working on getting more detailed information about Western Pennsylvania’s green buildings. She is now a Sustainability Analyst at PNC, helping them build, operate, and maintain some of the most forward-thinking green buildings. Along with working on The Tower at PNC, PNC’s net zero energy branch, and some of the other 250+ LEED facilities that PNC owns, Angelica helps support PNC’s partnership with the Pittsburgh 2030 District. She was also one of GBA’s Luminary Award finalists in 2014!
Previously, Angelica was Sustainability Coordinator for the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh & Allegheny County (SEA), giving her the opportunity to effect change at some of the largest buildings in Pittsburgh. Working closely with the David L. Lawrence Convention Center (DLCC), PNC Park, CONSOL Energy Center, and Heinz Field, Angelica’s achievements stretch from LED lighting retrofits in parking garages to LEED-EBOM Platinum certification for the DLCC.
She exhibits diligence and commitment to certified green places for all, on all levels. Angelica has helped keep some of Pittsburgh’s largest and most notable LEED and green buildings in the national sustainability limelight and also works behind the scenes, incorporating sustainability into everyday activities. We’re proud to have her as part of GBA’s family tree!
Congratulations to Angelica and PNC!
