Experience

Shell Oil proposes to construct a massive petrochemical facility in Beaver County (with predictions that more will follow). This plant threatens the air and water quality across the Pittsburgh area. This event will feature a screening of, “Fence Line” followed by a discussion regarding how to resist the installation of the plant. Led by local activist and filmmaker Mark Dixon, this event aims to inspire community members to get involved in the fight to defend the air and water quality in our area!

About the Film,

Named after a refinery now owned by Shell Oil, Norco, Louisiana, is home to two distinct communities — one black and one white. Though separated by mere blocks, their realities are worlds apart.
