Woodland Hills Youth Climate Action Summit

October 23, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 2:25 pm

Registration opens on September 11th, 2020 at 8am

A climate summit planned BY youth, FOR youth.

Join us virtually on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 for the first-ever Woodland Hills Youth Climate Action Summit!

In July of 2019, Woodland Hills School District made history by being the first school district in Pennsylvania to pass a Climate Action Resolution, unifying it in a call for district-wide action on climate change. It took the work of a community, but it was YOUTH who led the charge by writing letters expressing concern for the future of our region and our planet.

To continue the momentum from the school board resolution, the youth-led virtual Woodland Hills Youth Climate Action Summit will highlight and create opportunities for youth advocates to make a difference in their communities. The summit will feature workshops led by local climate leaders and our keynote speaker, PA State Representative District #34 and WH alumni, Summer Lee!

This event is geared towards high school students, college-aged students, and high school/college educators. Adults passionate about youth climate action are also welcome.  Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All workshops and the keynote speaker will be recorded and posted online for viewers after the summit. Registration opens for all on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at 8am. We look forward to seeing you there!
