WELL Education and Training Series Part 2: WELL 101 Training
August 10 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
WELL Education & Training Series
Join Green Building Alliance for three options to learn more about WELL and other human-centered rating systems. You can choose to attend one or all three of these events, although the Introduction to WELL training is a pre-requisite for the WELL AP Exam Prep training.
This two-hour WELL introduction can be used to familiarize a variety of participants with the rating system and can also serve as a pre–requisite for those who plan on taking the WELL AP exam (our WELL AP exam prep course will be offered later in the year).
At this event, we’ll:
- identify environmental factors that influence human health and well-being
- explain the intent of each concept in the WELL Building Standard v2 and identify key public health issues that underpin them
- describe related health impacts and documentation requirements for a variety of features iIn the WELL v2 rating system
- review specific WELL strategies that can be used in the fight against COVID-19
About Our Instructor
Pete Jefferson, WELL Faculty
Pete brings a whole-systems perspective and a deep knowledge of ecological design to his project teams to achieve high-performance buildings. He uses his background in mechanical engineering to look at the building as an integrated system, where climate, architecture and systems must work harmoniously to yield the best outcomes for his clients and for the people who occupy his buildings. As a Principal at BranchPattern, he has been actively involved in helping organizations deliver healthy, high-performance buildings for over 20 years through design, commissioning, and monitoring of building performance. Most recently he has been busy working with organizations to address the COVID-19 pandemic through indoor environmental quality projects, as well as developing research-based tools to assist in these efforts.
Following this event, participants can also join GBA for an 8-hour WELL AP training to build their expertise and prepare for the credentialing exam. This WELL 101 training is a pre–requisite for the exam prep course. Anyone who has already registered for the 8-hour training will receive a registration code so they can attend this pre–requisite for free.
Note: This event is pre-approved for 2.0 WELL-specific CEUs and 2 AIA HSW learning units.
