Then join Allegheny County Health Department Director Dr. Karen Hacker as she presents her Department’s new “Plan for a Healthier Allegheny” that sets forth measurable goals and strategies to achieve sustainable improvements in the health of all Allegheny County residents and learn how we can participate in its implementation.
Karen Hacker, MD, MPH is Director of the Allegheny County Health Department. Prior to coming to Pittsburgh in 2013, she was Executive Director for Public and Community Health at the Institute for Community Health at the Cambridge Health Alliance, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and School of Public Health. Board-certified in internal medicine and adolescent medicine, she is also Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
