It’s one of the greenest buildings on the planet. But what earns the Phipps Center for Sustainable Landscapes (CSL) certification as a LEED Platinum, Four-Stars Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES), net-zero energy building? The answer is in part its innovative blackwater system. On this tour and presentation, you will learn the specifics of the CSL’s waste treatment system and how the building and the landscape aids in water treatment. You will discover how Phipps is influencing local water treatment standards by reducing impact on municipal sewage systems. Perhaps most importantly, you will hear how similar on-site water treatment systems can be scaled to a variety of building sites.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
