About this Event

While improved human health has long been an underlying premise of sustainable building, new standards like WELL center design around the human experience. At this event, we’ll explore industry trends, building standards like Fitwel and RESET, and credits within broader rating systems including LEED, Living Building Challenge, and Passive House.

This event includes networking as well as refreshments. If you are working on a limited budget, please contact Leslie Montgomery for scholarship opportunities.

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will learn about a variety of health-focused standards and certifications.
  2. Participants will identify how broader standards and frameworks prioritize health.
  3. Participants will discuss integrated decision-making processes for a variety of project types.
  4. Participants will review local and national case studies of health-related frameworks.

Health in the Built Environment Series

GBA’s series on Health in the Built Environment will prepare owners and practitioners to build spaces that prioritize occupant health and productivity. The series connects research in neuroscience and cognitive behavior with building design and maintenance, proposing practical solutions to improve  tenant well-being.

You can choose to attend one event in the series, or dive deeper into the topic by attending all four events. Members of GBA have the opportunity to purchase the whole series at a deep discount.

We’d like to thank Sage Glass for sponsoring this series.
