EXPERIENCE

How can schools work within budgetary and facility constraints to provide appropriate ventilation and ensure healthy indoor air quality for their students? Although the EPA recently released a guide for ventilation in new construction, this workshop, featuring a presentation and discussion with Tim Butler from Integrated Services & Consultants, Inc., will focus on best practices for preventative maintenance of existing HVAC systems. Tim will provide an overview of ventilation problems found in most schools and suggest low-cost solutions to these issues. For facilities that are facing renovations or HVAC overhauls, Tim will outline important considerations when choosing and installing a new system.

Timothy L. Butler, principal, founded Integrated Services & Consultants (ISC) in 1991 and directed the day to day operations of this multi-disciplined firm. Tim ventured into this business with 13 years of experience in facilities Maintenance and Operations and managing large comprehensive capital improvement projects. Now with ISC for 25 years, Tim’s 37 years of experience has been a valuable asset for the company. In 1997 ISC restructured with Tim a principal positioned to manage and direct the Energy, Technology and Field Operations areas of the business. Timothy oversees the daily operations of the company’s portfolio of energy and related projects in the areas of use such as commercial, industrial, military and health care. Across the United States Mr. Butler leads the industry in troubleshooting, evaluating, commissioning and retro-commissioning projects relating to facility uses including physical plants and district heating and cooling with task related to Operation and Maintenance, HVACR, Steam, Ammonia, DDC Controls and IT infrastructure. Mr. Butler’s well rounded perspective and knowledge in the base disciplines of electrical, life safety, health & safety, mechanical and general construction has gained much recognition from Integrated Services & Consultant’s Inc. Client Base.
