Join Green Building Alliance for our Emerald Evening 2017 gala and awards ceremony on September 21st at the August Wilson Center. Mark your calendars for the sustainability networking event of the year as we celebrate the people, projects, and initiatives that are transforming our region’s built environment. Enjoy an evening of connecting with Pittsburgh’s green innovators and conversing with friends over drinks and an elegant stationed dinner and dessert.

This year we are thrilled to present our new Leadership Award to the Frick Environmental Center, the world’s first free and open publicly-owned building set to achieve the rigorous standards of the Living Building Challenge, as well as LEED Platinum certification. In addition to the Leadership Award, GBA is pleased to present  Majestic Lane with our Luminary Award to recognize his dedicated work to make equity integral to sustainable development. And we are proud to honor the Millvale EcoDistrict with our new Inspiration Award for its inclusive community engagement process.

Here is a peek at the event’s activities:

  • 5:00pm   Cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, & networking
  • 6:15pm   Leadership, Luminary, & Inspiration Awards ceremony
  • 7:15pm   Dinner stations & more networking
  • 8:00pm   Dessert, coffee, and live music

As we bring together more than 300 of the region’s most influential members of the green building and sustainability community, we invite your company to participate in this gala by joining us this fall and by considering a sponsorship of this event.  Through an Emerald Evening 2017 sponsorship, your company will demonstrate its support for and connection to GBA’s work for healthy high-performing places throughout Western Pennsylvania, as well as help honor the outstanding achievements of projects, people, and initiatives that make our region shine.
