**This event has been rescheduled for September 18-22. Click here to be redirected to the September registration page!

Come learn how to design and build buildings to the international Passive House standard while earning your Certified Passive House Consultant or Designer credential from Passive House Institute with local instructors.  Passive House is a rigorous standard for energy efficient buildings, focusing on minimal heating, cooling, and ventilation loads aligned with passive heating and cooling techniques like orientation, massing, and solar shading. The Passive House Institute (PHI) developed the international standard taught in this course, which is applicable to both commercial and residential structures.

This in-depth training has two parts:

1 – The in-person session will take place at Green Building Alliance (5 days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), and will include breakfast, snack breaks, and lunch (including lots of coffee!).

2 – Students will also participate in 24 hours of online, self-guided training afterwards, but prior to taking the CPHD exam.

* Exam dates are set by PHI. Exam dates can be found here.

The $1,750 fee for the course includes a training manual and breakfast, lunch, and snacks for all 5 days of training.  In addition the candidate will need to cover the software fee ($250) and the exam fee ($350) to become a Certified Passive House Consultant.  To become a Certified Passive House Designer, the candidate will need to submit proof of educational attainment that would qualify them to be a CPHD. More info can be found here.
