Arbor Aid 2017: A Music Festival to Benefit the Urban Forest

Join Tree Pittsburgh for Arbor Aid 2017!



Tree Pittsburgh is excited to announce the 7th annual Arbor Aid music festival Saturday, September 23rd! This year we will also celebrate everyone’s favorite native fruit, the pawpaw, with Pawpaw Fest. Arbor Aid is a family-friendly event and will include 10+ bands and artists, kids activities, food trucks and local beer, and of course all things pawpaw. The event will be emceed by Pittsburgh comedian Gab Bonesso.

The Arbor Aid Music Festival will be headlined by The Band Kids and is presented by Spirit Airlines. This event also features the following performance groups:

Look for #greenhousesessions coming later this summer to meet all of our great performers.

Pittsburgh’s first Pawpaw Fest will feature speakers including:

  • Phil Gruszka, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy
  • Doug Oster, Home and Garden Editor for the Tribune Review
  • Matt Davies, Ohio State University Pawpaw Research and “MORE Ohio Pawpaw” project
  • Eric Pawloski, Sustainable Agriculture Educator
  • Phillip Bauerle, Penn State Extension

We will also have vendors, pawpaw foods and drinks for tasting, and more!
