Emerald Evening Gala 2019

September 12 @ 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm EDT at MuseumLab

GBA is thrilled to announce our 5 awardees for this year’s Emerald Evening Gala, in addition to inaugurating Pittsburgh’s UN Center of Excellence on High Performance Building.

Every year, GBA’s supporters and community partners come together to celebrate notable projects and people who have impacted our region – and the globe – with visionary sustainability projects. In 2019, we are honoring 5 people and projects that have transformed communities across the region, demonstrating boldness of leadership and ingenuity of spirit.  We will be welcoming the UNECE’s Scott Foster to open this inspiring line-up with the official inauguration of Pittsburgh’s United Nations Center of Excellence on High Performance Building.  We are overjoyed to announce our winners for the 2019 Emerald Evening Gala:

ABOUT THE GALA

This year’s gala will be hosted at the MuseumLab – one of Pittsburgh’s new cultural institutions and a shining example of the work that GBA members accomplish. This historic project of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is pursuing some of the most rigorous certifications in performance and health, in addition to meeting Pittsburgh 2030 District goals. Gala attendees will not only get exclusive access to the entire museum, but can also take the opportunity to tinker in the maker lab and explore alternate realities in the tech lab.

Directions to MuseumLab: Parking at The Children’s Museum is free, but limited spots are available. Street parking is available nearby and paid parking is available at NOVA Place to the south of the Museum. The MuseumLab is a separate building from the main Children’s Museum. It is to the right of the main Children’s Museum in the old Carnegie Free Library building.
