GBA celebrates inspiring healthy and high performing spaces – and the people who make them possible – at our annual gala and awards ceremony, the EMERALD EVENING. We welcome your recommendations of people and projects to honor, and we invite you to save the date for September 21, 2017 at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture.
For our 2017 Emerald Evening gala, Green Building Alliance is seeking to recognize local people, projects, and initiatives that drive the creation of healthy, high-performing places for everyone and inspire sustainability in all its forms. At the 2017 Emerald Evening on September 21, GBA will present awards for the following categories:
- Person: someone who, no matter where they are in their career path, has done something that would not have happened without their advocacy. Someone who exhibits bravery, boldness, and persistence in creating green buildings and other sustainable places.
- Project: built environment projects of any size (in operation preferred) that have or will raise the bar, put the project and our region on the national stage, or approach a sustainability goal in an innovative way.
- Initiative: thoughtful engagement initiatives, programs, or collaborations that emphasize the importance of process, ensure an inclusive approach, and positively impact a diverse set of stakeholders.
