Dr. Diane Kirk

Dr. Diane Kirk has been an associate professor in the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education since September 2006. She manages the superintendent, principal, and curriculum & instruction internship courses in the Department of Administrative and Policy Studies that all students must complete in order to gain certification in Pennsylvania. In addition to her coursework, Diane serves as the director of the Tri-State Area School Study Council and manages its activities, including research and development assistance for member school districts, conferences, and professional development undertakings.

Before joining Pitt, Diane served as the assistant superintendent and then superintendent of schools in Peters Township. She holds a B.S. in Education from Youngstown State University and obtained an M.S. in Education and Elementary School Principal Certificate from Duquesne University, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
