If you can’t commit time during working hours, you can still experience some of the energy and enthusiasm of the green schools movement by coming to one of these events:
- Visit the Exhibit Hall – Check out vendors, nonprofits and activities geared toward healthy and high performing schools. (March 31, 4:15 – 5:15 p.m.; David L. Lawrence Convention Center; no registration necessary)
- Panel Discussion on Food, Equity and Community – Explore the connections between food policy, food waste, food access, health and nutrition, and childhood hunger. (March 31, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.; David L. Lawrence Convention Center; Registration not required but recommended.) Learn more and register.
- Straight Outta Garden @ Brashear High School – Pitch in to help the Brashear community build an internationally inspired garden to celebrate diversity in the school and provide a great opportunity for students to connect with food. (April 2nd, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) Learn more and register.
