Sirah came to GBA in September through the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE), a city-wide program that connects university graduates to Pittsburgh-based nonprofits and the greater community. While in the placement process, Sirah fell in love with GBA. A wildlife conservation major at Juniata College, she saw first-hand the effect of green building on habitats through college’s LEED-certified field station. She liked the idea of helping people connect across the building process to create greener places. That passion drives her work researching events and assisting GBA’s education programming.
Sirah holds a B.S. degree in Wildlife Conservation from Juniata College. After her PULSE Fellowship, she plans on going to veterinary school, specializing in small animals.
