Building Performance Intern

Matt is working on GBA’s Pittsburgh 2030 District and DASH (Database for Analyzing Sustainable and High Performance Buildings) initiatives. Responsibilities include formulation of the district’s energy and water baselines, data acquisition, and tracking of program goals.


With extensive experience as an undergraduate researcher, as well as a structural design engineer, Matt has developed a passion for green building and LCA (life-cycle assessment), data analysis, writing, and design.


While working part-time at GBA, Matt is pursuing his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also involved with the Pitt student chapter of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), where he serves on the board as membership chair and participates in various student and professional-level events.
