Demeshia has held positions of increasing responsibility at Fortune 100 and 500 organizations, most notably Nike, Inc., where she worked for over a decade honing her business, coaching, and strategic developmental skills. She joined Massaro Construction Group in 2011 as the director of human resources and collaborated with senior leaders to instill coaching and workforce development values to achieve strategic targets. Because she was instrumental in enabling the company to move forward by creating a culture of data-driven actionable items with a focus on leadership motivated by personal accountability, she was promoted to an officer role. Over her tenure and due to her stakeholder/customer focus with an eye on business outcomes, Demeshia held various leadership roles, including a stint as interim head of the largest business unit in the organization, vice president of Massaro Corporation, and executive vice president and COO.
Demeshia holds a master’s degree in business administration and an undergraduate degree in chemistry. As a graduate of the 2013 Leadership Pittsburgh class, she fulfills her desire to help her community by serving on the boards of the Sarah Heinz House and Goodwill Industries, in addition to GBA. She also serves as a commissioner on the City of Pittsburgh’s Equal Opportunity Review Commission.
